Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using TrueKin, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use TrueKin.

Important health notice

TrueKin is a health organisation and reminder tool only. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical care. In a medical emergency, call 112 immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using TrueKin, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are legally competent to enter into a binding agreement under Indian law
  • You are accessing TrueKin from India or a jurisdiction where use is lawful
  • You have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

If you are managing care for a family member, you confirm you have the legal authority or their consent to manage their health information.

When we update these Terms, we will notify you within the app before changes take effect. Continued use of TrueKin after the effective date of changes means you accept the revised Terms.

2. What TrueKin Is

TrueKin is a personal health management application that helps you:

  • Organise and track medications, schedules, and dosages
  • Store and access medical documents and prescriptions
  • Monitor medication adherence and history
  • Share health information with trusted family members or caregivers
  • Keep important health records accessible in one secure place
TrueKin is a health organisation and reminder tool only. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, clinical system, or substitute for professional medical care. It is not regulated as a medical device under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017.

3. Medical Disclaimer

TrueKin does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

  • All content, features, and information in TrueKin — including medication reminders, health summaries, AI-extracted document data, adherence statistics, and any insights — are provided for personal organisational purposes only
  • Nothing in TrueKin constitutes or should be treated as medical advice
  • Always consult a qualified and registered healthcare professional (doctor, pharmacist, specialist) before making any medical decision
  • Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice based on anything displayed in TrueKin
  • Medication dosages, timings, and interactions shown in TrueKin are based solely on information you enter — we do not verify them against medical databases or your current health status
  • In a medical emergency, call emergency services (112) immediately — do not use TrueKin

TrueKin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (registration in progress) expressly disclaims all liability for health outcomes, missed doses, medication errors, or clinical consequences arising from use of or reliance on TrueKin.

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a TrueKin account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow users under 18 to create accounts. If we discover a user is under 18, we will delete their account.

4.2 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it updated. You are responsible for the accuracy of all health information you enter.

4.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your OTP and session credentials confidential
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Logging out of shared or borrowed devices
  • Notifying us immediately at privacy@truekin.co.in if you suspect unauthorised access

TrueKin will never ask you for your OTP. Do not share OTPs with anyone.

4.4 One Account Per Person

You may not create accounts on behalf of other adults without their knowledge and consent. You may add family members to your care circle within the app — this is different from creating an account for them.

5. Consent for Health Data

5.1 Sensitive Personal Data

TrueKin collects and processes Sensitive Personal Data (SPDI) as defined under the IT (SPDI) Rules 2011, including health conditions, medications, allergies, and medical documents. Processing this data requires your explicit, specific, and informed consent, which you provide during account setup.

5.2 Managing Consent

You may view and manage your consents at any time from Settings → Privacy & Consent. You can withdraw consent for optional features (AI processing, marketing) at any time without affecting your account.

5.3 Required Consents

Consent for core data processing and health data storage is required to use TrueKin. If you withdraw these consents, you will need to delete your account as the service cannot be provided without them.

6. WhatsApp Communications

6.1 Consent

By registering your phone number with TrueKin, you consent to receive WhatsApp messages from us, including OTP verification codes, medication reminders (if you enable them), and important service notifications.

6.2 Delivery and Liability

WhatsApp message delivery is handled by Meta Platforms, Inc. and depends on your device having an active internet connection and WhatsApp installed. TrueKin is not responsible for non-delivery of WhatsApp messages due to factors outside our control, including WhatsApp service outages, device settings, or network issues.

Do not rely solely on WhatsApp reminders for critical medication schedules. Always maintain independent records of essential medication information.

6.3 Opt-Out

You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any WhatsApp message from TrueKin
  • Adjusting your notification preferences in Settings → Notifications

Opting out of WhatsApp notifications does not affect your ability to use TrueKin. OTP messages required for login are necessary to verify your identity and cannot be opted out of without disabling your account.

7. AI Document Processing

7.1 What It Does

TrueKin can extract and structure information from uploaded medical documents using an AI language model (provided by Anthropic PBC, USA). This makes it easier to review and organise your health records.

7.2 Explicit Consent Required

AI document processing is entirely optional and requires your separate, explicit consent. You can enable or disable this feature at any time from Settings → Privacy & Consent. You can use all other TrueKin features without enabling AI processing.

7.3 Accuracy

AI extraction is not 100% accurate. Extracted information may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You are responsible for:

  • Reviewing all AI-extracted data before relying on it
  • Correcting any inaccurate information
  • Not using AI-extracted data for medical decisions without independent verification by a healthcare professional

7.4 Third-Party Processing

When you enable AI processing and upload a document, its contents are sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. By enabling this feature, you consent to this transfer. Anthropic does not use your data to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Family Sharing

8.1 Inviting Others

You may invite family members or trusted caregivers to view or co-manage health records. When you do:

  • You control exactly what they can access (profile, medications, documents, history)
  • You can revoke their access at any time
  • The invited person can only see what you specifically permit

8.2 Your Responsibility for Shared Data

When you share health information with others, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the people you invite are trustworthy
  • Only sharing what is appropriate and necessary
  • Promptly revoking access when it is no longer needed

8.3 Adding Family Members

If you add health information for a family member (including minors in your care), you confirm that you have their consent, or you have legal authority as their parent or guardian. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any health data you enter on behalf of another person.

8.4 Profile Share Links

You may create time-limited, permission-scoped links to share your health profile with healthcare providers or others. You control the duration (2 hours to 30 days) and the content. You are responsible for who you share links with and must revoke links that are no longer needed.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TrueKin to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Enter false, fraudulent, or misleading health information
  • Access or attempt to access another person's account without their permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from TrueKin
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape TrueKin
  • Interfere with the security, performance, or availability of TrueKin
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use TrueKin to manage health records for others on a commercial basis without our written consent
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these rules.

10. User Content and Data Ownership

10.1 Your Data Belongs to You

All health information, documents, and data you enter into TrueKin belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your personal or health data.

10.2 Licence to Process

To provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, process, and display your data within TrueKin and to share it with third-party service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete your data or account.

10.3 Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. We do not verify, validate, or cross-check health information against medical databases or professional records.

11. Intellectual Property

TrueKin, the TrueKin name and logo, and all software, design, code, features, and content created by us are owned by TrueKin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (registration in progress) or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use TrueKin on your devices. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of TrueKin without our prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Services

TrueKin integrates with third-party services to operate. These include:

These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We select providers that meet appropriate data protection standards and operate under data processing agreements with us. We are not responsible for the independent practices of these third parties beyond our agreements with them.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep TrueKin available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. TrueKin may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unexpected technical issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Critical health and medication decisions must never depend solely on TrueKin being available. Always maintain independent records of essential medication information.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • TrueKin is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant that TrueKin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any health information displayed
  • We are not responsible for medication errors, missed doses, or health outcomes of any kind

Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or other non-excludable rights under Indian law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, TrueKin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (registration in progress) will not be liable for:

  • Any health outcome, clinical decision, or medical consequence arising from use of TrueKin
  • Loss of data due to device failure, account deletion, or service interruption
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss of any kind
  • Losses arising from third-party service failures (SMS providers, push notification services, AI provider)

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16. Account Termination

16.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings → Delete Account. Deletion:

  • Is immediate and irreversible
  • Permanently removes all your health data within 30 days
  • Revokes all family sharing connections and active share links
  • Cannot be undone — download your data first if needed (Settings → Privacy & Consent → Download My Data)

16.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy
  • We are required to do so by law or court order
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent or harmful activity
  • We discontinue the TrueKin service (with at least 30 days' notice)

Where possible, we will notify you before terminating your account and give you an opportunity to download your data.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India.

Step 1 — Contact us first

Before raising a formal dispute, please contact us at privacy@truekin.co.in. Most concerns can be resolved quickly.

Step 2 — Grievance Officer

If your concern is not resolved within 30 days, escalate to our Grievance Officer at privacy@truekin.co.in.

Step 3 — Legal proceedings

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

18. Changes to These Terms

  • We will notify you in the app before the change takes effect
  • Changes that materially affect your rights will require your explicit acknowledgement
  • The version number and date at the top of this page will be updated

Continued use of TrueKin after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
